Marcus W. Fryar is an Investment Adviser Representative, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, Chartered Financial Consultant® , Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorTM and a Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorTM with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Marcus' breadth of experience comes from working with individuals, business owners and small business clients as both an accountant and tax and financial advisor since 2002. His prior corporate experience includes being a Claim Specialist for State Farm Insurance and a Contract Manager for Nortel Networks.
Marcus is passionate about his community and in teaching our youth about money. He has served as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business at North Carolina Central University and has been a guest lecturer for the graduating MBAs at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Marcus holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University. His professional designations include the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (SW-AWMATM ) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPCTM). In addition, Marcus is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors and the Financial Planning Association.
Marcus has two daughters, Brooke and Erin, and has been married to his wife, Nicki, for 26 years. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, attending Brooke's volleyball games at Gardner Webb University, and traveling with Erin as a competitive cheerleader.
